- What year are you in at UB as well as major/minor?
I am now a Senior here at UB on my last semester and majoring in Graphic Design. Whenever I say what my major is in my non-design classes, people usually look at me in such amazement because they usually aren’t aware that it’s a major here. This always makes me realize that Graphic Design isn’t a common major that people take. Then again this makes sense since the SASD building (Shintaro Akatsu School of Design) is separate from the main campus.
- What do you think Writing for Digital Media might be about?
I personally think that Writing for Digital Media might be about finding other ways to communicate with people on another level other than just books or newspapers. The fact that people are now on the internet and social media more, the game of grabbing a readers attention has changed a bit. If an article title doesn’t grab someone’s at a first glance, chances are they will just keep scrolling down to something that does.
- What are you hoping to do when you graduate UB?
In all honesty I’m not entirely sure what I want to do after graduation in May. Chances are I’ll be doing some freelance work to further build up my portfolio to show future clients or firms. I’m also hoping that this is the semester where I can finally figure out my design style and what I’m interested in through my final classes.
I’ve always been more of a go-with-the-flow kind of person as well as a go getter when I know there’s an opportunity that should be taken. I’m sure that there is something in store for me down the road, but in the meantime I just need to perfect my craft to the best of my ability.
I am here in my University of Bridgeport class taking Writing for interactive Media.
